The Alliance Motorcycle Club,
a collection of clean and sober bikers who ride to help others, will hold its 16th annual Life Ride on Sunday, August 12th, along Meadowbrook Parkway starting at 12 noon. The event, which benefits Long Island's Bridges of New York transitional house for ex-offenders, will begin with a Blessing of the Bikes outside Hooters restaurant on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow. The Life Ride concludes at Wantagh Park with a picnic, concert and bike show/contest for all. The general public is welcome to attend this family-friendly event. Previous Life Rides have drawn 150 bikers from throughout the region in support of Alliance principles, which include the promotion of clean and sober events for motorcyclists who ride alcohol- and drug-free on all runs. Media coverage is welcomed and encouraged.
